Optimize allows the user to set registry settings to values that allow the computer to run in its optimal condition.

Menu show delay

The "Menu show delay" determines how fast or how slow taskbar cascading menus are displayed. To change the interval used to delay the menu display, slide the arrow to the left to shorten the time, and to the right to lengthen the time. Click the Apply button.

Wait to kill application timeout

The "Wait to kill application timeout" notifies the user if an application fails to respond before the timeout. If an application fails to respond the user is prompted to wait, stop the application, or shutdown. To change the time for an application timeout, slide the arrow to the left to shorten the time, and to the right to lengthen the time. Click the Apply button.

Wait to kill service timeout

The "Wait to kill service timeout" is the time the control manager must wait for services to complete and shutdown. To change the wait time, slide the arrow to the left to shorten the time, and to the right to lengthen the time. Click the Apply button.

Boot optimization

Select the check box to improve the startup time.

Autoclose non-responsive tasks

Select the check box to automatically close non-responsive programs.

Registry defragmentation

Press the Analyze button to remove gaps in the registry data and rebuild the data structure.
